Climate change is already affecting the planet and will remain to do so for generations to come. The physical and chemical changes associated with human activities are occurring in natural ecosystems on land and at sea, and in cities and outlying areas, but the changes are not happening consistently. Many researchers are developing in depth predictions about the effects of climate change, but predicting the long-term impacts is complex in part because choices we make as individuals and as a society will change those outcomes.
Consequently, it is time to contribute to save the planet and it is very important to learn all we can about climate change, to make informed choices about the climate, and prepare for the outcome of those choices. Even though some industries have the potential to meet considerable percent of its energy needs with renewables, they do not work on that. With energy leading the way, industries should also gain the benefits and work toward mitigating the harmful consequences of climate change.
The International Institute of Knowledge Management (TIIKM) proudly presents “The Workshop on Role of Industry in Climate Change Mitigation” with the speakers for the workshop Dr. Scott Denning, Professor of Atmospheric Science, Colorado State University, USA and Mr. V. R. Sena Peiris, Director of National Cleaner Production Centre on 16th February 2017 at 2.45 PM – 5.00 PM.
The Workshop is believed to act as a center stage for knowledge expansion in the field of climate change and about ways to mitigate the climate change led by industrial emissions and how it costs us and what measures can be taken. The event will be an ideal opportunity for Industry experts, Engineers, Scientific officers, Professionals, Researchers, to widen their scope listening to the renowned persons in the subject.
The Workshop will provide the opportunity to have your questions and doubts cleared from the distinguished speakers during the Q&A session subsequent to the main session.
